Where I’m From

Mrs. York’s 4th Grade

I’m from Sunday Mornings

Smell of greens beans on

the stove,

hearing

Dad’s

Coffee brewing,

then

hearing Mama calling

‘’Mon Mon, come

get me some water”

as I get dressed

dancing and

clapping my

hands.

I am from

Eating sweet potatoes,

green beans, and

                                                      sweet cornbread.
