Welcome to Morgan

Morgan offers a comprehensive early childhood development program. Primary students, in grades 1-3, are divided by grade levels. They are grouped and re-grouped by skills in reading and math, according to abilities and need.

Some intermediate teachers specialize in math, social studies, science and language arts. They utilize curriculum guides, with flexibility to design instruction to meet individual or group needs.

Besides classroom teachers, there are additional teachers for art, humanities, vocal music, speech/language, physical education, library/media center and gifted-talented-creative programs.

Morgan offers special-needs instruction and facilities for MMD/FMD, a deaf educator and full-time interpreters for the hearing-impaired.

Photo of the Day: Alonso Wins "Read to Ride" Bike

Downtown Kiwanis Club members presented a bike to Morgan first grader Ellee Alonso, the Morgan "Read to Ride" winner for the fall semester.

The Kiwanis Club donated a bicycle, helmet, and lock to Clark, McNabb, and Morgan elementary schools as part of the "Read to Ride" program. To qualify to win the bike, students took Accelerated Reader quizzes. The students' names were placed in the drawing for each AR quiz that was passed during the fall semester.

Football Team Promotes "Change for a Cure"

The football team has been supporting cancer awareness this month by wearing and selling PINK.  All proceeds from the sale of pink t-shirts along with the activites we had at the "Pink Out" Game October 7 will be donated to cancer awareness.

Now the team wants to get the entire district involved by challenging them with "Change for a Cure".

Beginning Monday, October 17,  Clark, McNabb, and Morgan homeroom classes will be challenged to see who can collect the most change.  On Wednesday, October 26, the homeroom class that has collected the most money will win a pizza party with the Senior players on the PTHS football team on Friday, October 28.

The team will also have collection buckets at the middle and high schools during lunch.  All the money collected during "Change for a Cure" will be added to the donation to the Susan G. Komen Foundation on behalf of the Tilghman Football Team.
